During our build of the studio-scale Millennium Falcon partwork model, we will use six different types of screws. They vary in type and size, but are all Phillips-head and appear to be metric.
While a basic legend is supplied in the Issue 02 magazine explaining the differences between each screw, I wanted to make identifying and referencing them easier throughout this build. Therefore, I assigned my own letter designation to each type of screw based on their purpose. This way, I can label the slots in my screw organizer to make a bit more sense of them as we go:
- Frames
- Radial Frames/Cannons
- Side Frames
- Hull Panels
- Main Hold
- Corridors
Additionally, using a set of precision calipers, I will be measuring all of these screws. I thought I could share the information I collected, so I created this page to share it. Please note that these values are based on my own observations, so they may not be perfect (use at your own risk).
