“This issue includes a key part of the assembly – the turret ring that joins all the frames in the center of the ship, and provides a mounting for the turret.

NOTE: The Hull Frame and Radial Rib in this issue will not be needed in these assembly steps and can safely stored until needed later on:

Fitting the Turret Ring

Step 01

Look closely at the Turret Ring BF-09 and locate this notch:

Step 02

Retrieve your bottom Hull assembly from Issue 27. Locate this tab on Hull Frame BF-32 and align the notch of the Turret Ring to it, as shown:

Steps 03-04

Secure the Turret Ring to the various Hull Frames around the circumference with fourteen (14) Type F screws.

As you go, make sure the small inner pin of each Radial Rib fits into these matching notches around the Ring:


Adding this Turret Ring made a huge improvement in the structural rigidity of our bottom Hull assembly!
